I would say you'll need to do something similar - grab some better scaling food and some good enchants and maybe a decent trinket and you'll be fine. It took probably 5-6 more pulls after that before I beat it. The first pull after optimisation I got her to 50% and I knew that I could complete it. Prior to optimising my gear a bit, I was only getting the boss down to about 90% before a wipe. Overall those three changes didn't make the fight trivial, but they made it doable. I did a bit of farming for a legion tank trinket that could proc some vers increase, grabbed two ilvl 50 weapons of the auction house and threw the crusader enchant on them (strength proc and some passive healing), and then also bought some cheap BFA consumables which scaled a bit better than the shadowlands one. My initial few attempts were a bit of a shock as I was in the same boat, did no DPS and the abilities were hitting a lot harder than videos I had watched on the encounter. So in general i consider it harder because the fights were intended to challenge the legion class design and with legendary benefits in mind, so for the harder ones you should try to at least get a few good trinkets and so. Xylem's 1st phase is a joke with sv Hunter but the dps race on the 2nd phase is a struggle, you need consumables and prepot for it. The healer one was kinda easy at least for pally, and for Agatha i could do it on my warrior pretty easily both in legion and now. To me it feels like classes are lacking compared to the fight, you can notice the impact borrowed power had, but it's still doable in general without that much investment.Įxcept the tank one, i hated it and still do lmao. I did the ret pally one back in legion and it was hard but doable (the bubble on death legendary was super helpful) i tried to do it now and found it way harder with no gear optimization, i tried the same one on enhancement shaman and it was a joke, took me around 8 attempts to do it properly. I saw my BM buddy give it a go and it looked hectic as heck! With that said, the Destro Lock challenge just seems intense. You can gear it as min-maxed as you want but as you know, these are execution fights first and foremost, and the challenges I completed slapped me around at first (not the fury one actually) and I had to refine my strategy. Had around five sockets on both chars on legion gear and couldn't afford Dragon Soul gems either. Only thing I bought for the Demo Lock was the pandaren mechanical dragon trinket, but for me it did almost nothing, and neither of the characters had the mega pumper stuff like arcano crystal and chromie time gear. I did the Demo Lock back in Legion (only one I did) and so far I've completed SL Fury Warrior and Demo Lock, and Demo Lock was pretty smooth sailing once I got my bearings haven't touched warlock since Legion ended.įor both of those all I did was farm Legion Raids, focus on main stats (yup you guessed it, haste > mastery) and preferably farm for sockets. I did the Mage Tower in 7.2 and I can say it's easier for me this time around.
